A Week of Play 2020

At Workz, we believe in the power of involvement. That's why, for more than 10 years, we have gathered top practitioners for an annual event to explore dynamic tools for involving and engaging employees. 

In 2020, from January 28 to 31, we open our office doors to new friends and familiar faces once again. Clients and collaborators are invited to get a taste of how involvement translates into accelerated learning, motivation and behavioural changes in our organisations. 

PLAYFUL AND ENGAGING WORKSHOPS... 

At Workz, we are especially intrigued by game-based approaches. That is why we design the workshops at A Week of Play 2020 around our award-winning leadership simulations; Timekeepers™Wallbreakers®, Bridgebuilders®, Gamechangers® and Playmakers®.  

This year we are thrilled to add two new games to the mix; the stress prevention game MINDstrain and the Quest mapping tool for global transformative journeys.

At the workshops you will experience how engaging gameplay drives discussions on how leaders successfully execute transformations, handle employee resistance, establish trust, navigate cultural differences, build high performance teams and even prevent stress.

...AND INSPIRATIONAL LUNCH TALKS        

In addition to the workshops, we invite you to join four inspirational talks. The talks take place during networking lunches and cover the following themes:

  • Inclusive leadership
  • Agile decision-making
  • Change and the brain
  • Simulations in leadership training

Exclusive dinner session

This year we add an exclusive after-hours dinner session to our Thursday program. At this session we will explore how organsiations choose and execute on global transformative journeys.

We will look at this topic through the lense of the Quest framework developed by IMD professors Anand Narasimhan and Jean-Louis Barsoux. We also get to play the Quest game Workz has developed in collaboration with IMD.

We have a very limited amount of seats to this session, and we reserve them to executive and senior management clients.

FLEXIBLE AND INTIMATE FORMAT

We have designed a highly flexible format allowing you to combine your own program. You can either participate for one or more full-days, or you can choose to join selected sessions during the week. Some workshop are scheduled twice so you can pick the time slot that works best for you.

All sessions are informal with room for open discussions and knowledge sharing. We have chosen to limit the size of each workshop to ensure a high degree of intimacy and involvement.
